I have a new R-13 (less than a year) which also shows much wear of the
plating around the key rings and is very dull on some keys. It's not
just me, either. My teacher's clarinet has the same thing. Obviously
the plating on the new R-13s is of lesser quality than before. Even my
plastic Bundy from ions ago looks better. Question for Mr. Kloc: what
did they change in the nickel plating within the last couple years on
the R-13s? Oh well, eventually when it all wears off I'll get it redone
with silver.

Dear Benjamin,

In my knowledge Buffet haven't change anything in the Nickel plating in the
past two years. I will check with the factory and find out if I missed
something.
