Let me tell you the experience that I had with Artley Clarinets! The
Artley sent 15 new clarinets to our University for our Clarinet Methods
class that I was teaching. I am not sure of the model #, but it was a
wooden intermediate model. We began using these instruments and found
the quality to be so poor that I went to the store room and gave the
whole class some old Vito resotones that were about fifteen years old,
but in good condition. The entire class immediately made greater
progress and had very little problems going over the break, etc. The
tone quality, tuning, and ease of playing on the fifteen year old vitos
was greater than the new Artleys.
You can probably guess my opinion of the Artley clarinets.
