I wouldn't take an Artley 17S plastic clarinet on a bet, and we SELL them!
(Well, maybe THEY do, but I don't!) I am not familiar with their wooden
ones, which would qualify as intermediate, but I would be wary. The
plastic ones seem thin-toned and very sharp in the throat, although the
latest ones, within the last year or so, are better. Look for the ones
WITHOUT the screw adjust on the left-hand F/C key.
