Many makers subcontract plating out to firms that do just plating. If your
instrument has this problem this soon, contact Buffet. It might be poor
plating, or it might be that your system "eats" plating. Many makers will only
guarantee and work with cracked, wooden bodies. Read the fine print and/or, as
I suggested, contact Buffet.

When you find out, please let us know what they were willing to do.
