Lets be SPECIFIC, OK ? My repairman spoke of German SILVER .... NOT "nickel
silver".

Based upon what he related to me .... nickel-silver is just fine. However,
he SPECIFICALLY talked about the use in Clarinets (Evette, etc) of another
compund that had DIFFERENT metals than those used in "nickel-silver" keys.
AND. that compound of metals was referred to as "German Silver".
