Subj: [kl] Leather pads

Barb,
Just recently I had our local repairperson
change my the bottom joints on both Leblanc
clarinets to leather pads. Here in the hourly
changing weather of New Mexico my skin
pads were always making a small "tch" sound
which drove me crazy. The leather pads have
solved this problem, I and like the new feel
of the keys. I seriously doubt the "stuffiness"
you spoke of is from the leather, probably
from the pads being too thick (?) as Cindy
suggested. Best of luck! Lori Lovato
