Patricia,
My clarinet dates as best as I can judge from the Selmer serial numbers
in1959,
though I have been told 1956-58. Anyway, it's a great sounding horn,
responds
easily, and has continuity of line throughout each register and yet each
register
has a richness of its own. I believe it had a Selmer HS** mouthpiece with
it, long
gone now. I have also played a Selmer C* on it and a Vandoren B45.
Currently
I am on a Morgan RM-10 and using Vandoren reeds strength 3. I like this
com-
bination but have not played in many "group" settings to see how it blends.
Other
reeds are too bright sounding on the Morgan. I will probably "cruise"
other mouth
pieces as time permits. The Pyne has been recommended among others. Any
suggestions as to horn-mouthpiece-reed combinations for my Selmer CT*?
I know it's personal taste and response, but I'd like to have some
guidelines.

Alicia Flint
