I am another lurker coming out of the shadows. I would like some info on
my
clarinet which I acquired in 1970 as a high school student upgrading to a
wooden
clarinet. I couldn't afford a new Selmer at the time which the other
students bought
and later had intonation problems with. My used Selmer just turned up and
my
mom bought it. It is a Selmer C "Star"(an actual star) and I have been
told it
was made in the 1950's and that the keys are German silver which contain a
bit of gold--I always wondered about the yellow color when every other
clarinet's
keys are silver-colored. Is this correct? Any other info about this
particular
model would be appreciated!!!!!!

I am a band director working on my master's and have recently picked my
instrument
back up after years of hiatus from playing. Rusty is not the word for my
playing,
but I am excited and quite enjoy all the knowledge and humor and people I
am
learning from this list!!!!!
