Georgette,
My advice is to try to tackle your student's problems one at a time. =
Start with getting her to play standing up, so that she learns to take =
the weight of the instrument, and make sure she is holding the =
instrument more or less straight. Then tackle her embouchure, move on to =
toungueing after that and hopefully you will both see some progress. =
This of course assumes she recognizes that she has bad habits that need =
correcting! She will probably need some weeks on each aspect that needs =
work, so take her off all other things, band included, so she can =
concentrate on these matters.
