Does anyone know- are the wooden mouthpieces treated in any way or is there
any special care involved due to the wood? I have always been concerned that
due to the somewhat unstable nature of wood, the mouthpiece would warp or
change over time, especially with the changing seasons. I know how much a
barrel, bell or the fit of two joints may change in the course of a year. I
am afraid that if a facing were to change that much it would be a problem.
Any thoughts?

Ed
