I got a student a couple of years ago who was just about finished with his first
year in band. At the first lesson I simply told him to wet his reed, put it
together and play something that he felt comfortable playing. Away he
went.....with the RIGHT HAND ON TOP!!!!

Now let's see, where did that band director get his training?
