Every mouthpiece design (model)needs a different reed style. Your old reed
is probably warped to "fit" your Noblet mouthpiece. Soak up a few new
reeds and see if one of them plays better. You night need to move up or
down a half strength. Any time you try a new mouthpiece at any price
point, use new reeds, preferable new reeds which have had a week of wetting
and drying cycles.

The noblet rubber mouthpieces are fixable, but the Fobes should play
better,,,with the right reed!

Good luck.
