<<<How many years is the Bay clarinet away from the market? I don't know
any details but I have heard of it.>>>

I got his brochure a few months ago. It saids his primary endeavor has
been, and will continue to be,the manufacture of
mouthpieces,ligatures,necks,reeds,etc-small critical accessaries rather than
clarinets..........As a hobby,and to provide a few clarinets(with our
limited tooling and manufacturing time) to connoisseerurs, investores, and
specialclarinetist friends,we wish to manufacture annnually only a few
'specia'l clarinets, reflecting Charles Bay's lifetime of experience as a
player, craftsman, artisan, and connoisseur of all things related to
clarinet.toiti

He proposes Option 1,2,3.
Option 1:2MP,2Barrels,2ligatures plus cork pads for regsiter and open G and
white kids pads for lower joint.,box ob Bay reeds.
Option 2:1MP,1Barrel,1 ligature. Silver or gold plated keys are available
for both of Option 1 and 2.
Option 3:CUstomized for customers' clientale.Needs discussion.

He also have othe 'Artist Model','Proffessinal Madel in B flat' and 'Bay
Intermediate Step-up Model in B-flat'.

You could ask this brochure from or their lead times.(I am afraid if he
makes a few a year, it might take a long time.)
