I grew up a few miles from Charlie Bay. He was my first clarinet teacher. I
remember when his bass clarinet necks first came out. That was cool. The first
clarinet that my parents bought from me was from Charlie Bay. I am not sure if
it was HIS clarinet or a customized one. I will say that I STILL have it and it
still plays. He custom fit a mouthpiece to that clarinet and I still have it.
And it still plays well. Not as well as my Woodwind mouthpiece :) but still
plays for outside gigs and all. He also has a couple ( probably more now )
clarinet books. I have a duet one that he arranged from various "classical"
pieces.

Give them a try. If all else fails I'll go down south and try one for you :)

God Bless
