G'day all,
In answer to Larry's question, I don't actually own a Couesnon clarinet, but
in looking for a second hand wooden instrument for one of my students, I
came across one. It seemed to play alright (apart from needing new springs)
until I tried it with a tuner. The tuning is all over the place, some notes
unbelievably flat and some sharp. I don't know if anything can be done about
that (just to suggest to the owner of the instrument).

However in my diligent search for a clarinet I have come across another
brand of Clarinet I have never haerd of and so once again I am requesting
any information from anybody on the list who may be able to enlighten me.
this one is another french instument brand name: Martin Freres with what I
assume is a model # 1740 (I think I can safetly say that the instrument
wasn't manufactured in that year!). This one plays beautifully (apart from a
minor leak in the bottom of the chalumeau register. If anybody can enlighten
me I would be grateful.

Thanks in advance,
All the best,
Rod.
