Sumner was in Minneapolis for many years before being bought out by Bob
Black and the Saxophone Shop here in Evanston, Illinois. The material is
only OK being made on a machine from I believe, a JJBabbitt blank while
some other mouthpieces were turned from the rod..

I have a couple of Grenadilla wood Sumners that are quite beautiful and
they have a decent sound after having been worked on inside and out. Must=

have started with a good piece of wood........

Bob Black could give you more general info. if you wanted to ask him. Tel=
e
# is 847 328 4455.
