Sara,
That was good advice for someone not in High School. Pills are a no no, but
inhalers are OK. I don't know why, But in FL that's how it is. Most anywhere
else too.

I just had my first two arrive yesterday (UPS - big box, little tiny
envelope inside with two reeds). I gave them a preliminary test. I was
very impressed. I'm anxious for orchestra practice on Monday to give
them a
try-out under "real conditions." The major command for the principal
clarinetist in that orchestra is "PLAY LOUDER." Finesse needs to be
sacrificed all too often for volume. That will be my real test.

I decided to try them after hearing Larry Combs play one at the DePaul
workshop. He was doing some lecturing and demonstrating, and each time
he played, he sounded wonderful (of course). It was afterwards that I
heard him say that it was a Legere. That was when I decided to at least
try them. It was good to hear first and find out later. That made for a
much more unbiased listening.

Nancy
