I think I was 8 when I started (no more than 9, for
sure)playing. I started on a metal clarinet which was
lighter than the wooden horn I later graduated to. I
was the opposite of Cindy . . .the smallest in my
class, usually, but have always had large hands and
never had any problems reaching keys or covering
holes.
