Stefanie,
Are you using your inhaler right before you start
marching band practice? I have trouble with
exercise-induced asthma from time to time, and I find
that if I use the inhaler just before I start the
activity, it helps. And when I say "use the inhaler"
I mean strictly according to the directions (get all
the air out of your lungs, inhale as you take a puff,
hold your breath as long as you can, then exhale
slowly and completely, then wait a couple of minutes
and repeat the process.) I know the process is a
bummer, but it beats having to stop and rest, and it
works for me.
