Hi, Stephanie!

I am delighted to hear from a student on this list. Though I can't offer
you any help
on your asthma, I can comiserate. I am a north MS band director who is also
fighting
the heat with my group. Believe me, I am sympathetic and do everything
possible to
make sure my students are not heat prostrated. But unfortunately the
bottom line is
getting part of the show on the field by August 27th (for me) .... Job
expectations and
requirements,etc.....

I am a clarinet person, used to play well, but am now in early stages of
multiple
sclerosis and have lost much technique which is highly frustrating. So now
I
concentrate on making those around me better musicians and lovers of music.
Being on this list is part of my attempt to learn (consume might be a
better word!)
more about clarinet so I can pass it on to my students and collegues.

Good luck with your show and let's pray for a break in the HEAT!!
