Hi!
Five years in marching band?  Good Lord.  I've been doing it for a year and it
seems like forever.  I'm from the southern tip of Mississippi and the heat down
here is nearly unbearable.
Yesterday we were marching in a 119 heat index, (no lie) usually it's around
110.   It's awful since we are in the middle of this heat wave.
Two guard members passed out yesterday.
Okay now for my question.
Everyone:
If you have Asthma and are on the field, are there any quick things you can do
to alleviate problems without drawing to much attention?  I really hate having
to sit down all the time and it makes it harder to follow the show.  At my
school, marching band it mandatory.  If you aren't in it you cannot play during
Concert season.

Stefanie
