Klarinet Archive - Posting 000369.txt from 1999/08

I recently purchased a Fibracell reed for my Bb clarinet, and I have to
say, I really like it. Being a beginner, I felt that the Fibracell would
last longer for me, and being synthetic I wouldn't have to worry as much
about finding the good reed in the box. My question is for anyone else
who has used a fibracell: how do you take care of it? Do I need to soak
it? ( I didn't). Do I need to keep it in a reed holder like a cane reed?
So far I find the little plastic box the reed came in to be great for
storage. Any comments appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave
