I read all of Mr. Garrett's post's. I look forward to them! Roger
consistently contributes first class information to this list. Information
that I have personally benefitted from, and has helped me become a better
clarinet player. Roger, I thank you for that.

Roger is also opinionated, and NEVER holds back. LOL. There are many times
that I do NOT agree with some of his opinions/beliefs.

On this thread, I am in disagreement with Roger. I happen to believe that if
someone can make an excellent mouthpiece and sell it for $200, (and make
someone happy that they bought it) more power to him.

I know I wouldn't sit and make mouthpieces and only make $20 an hour!

I have no opinion on the use of plastic for a beginner's mouthpiece, other
than I remember some pretty gross mouthpieces from the days I was teaching a
lot! All I know is that if parents will only pay $29 for a mouthpiece, I hope
it's made by Clark Fobes!

Anyway, I stray from my main point. We all have some valid opinions and some
not-so-valid. We do not and WILL NEVER agree on all points.

But let's please stay respectful. We have a lot to gain here, and much to
loose if we let this list degenerate into name calling.
