The answer as to whether a mouthpiece is a good one can be answered by
asking a simple question: Does it play for you? Don't get caught up in
brand names. While I've noticed that certain makes TEND to have certain
characteristics in the sound, there are good and bad in every batch.
I've worked on Chedevilles that were bad, and Bundys that were very
good. The best mouthpiece that I've ever played is a Selmer belonging to
Everitt Matson. It is better for me than his Chedeville, my Chedeville,
or any of the many Kaspars that I've played on.
