Dear Abe,

It is interesting to me that you have found the same as I about =

the sound qualities of a good wooden mouthpiece. To me, there is nothing =
in
the world like it.

If prepared concientiously, a piece of properly AGED and TREATED =

high quality wood ( in Grenadilla, Cocus, Cocobolo for instance) is
reliable for a long time in mouthpiece form...that is if the player is
also consciencious in their care and treatment of it. =

I have outstanding orchestral players as clients world wide that
could attest to their appealing and utterly unique sound qualities as wel=
l
as to their stability. =

I now use them for my solo and chamber music performances and hav=
e
always been delighted with the results.

Best,

Gregory Smith
