I'm trying to figure out the question here! Are we discussing refacing or
mouthpiece making?

A student comes in with a 5RV and says, "I don't like my mouthpiece." I
try the mouthpiece and don't like it either. I have the student play for
me and watch his embouchure, use of air, amount of mouthpiece taken in,
strength of reed, and make a recommendation. I also have mouthpieces on
hand for the student to try. In some cases, if a student likes a
particular one I have on hand, I can try to match it with the 5RV - often
it can be done simply.

Mouthpiece making? Talk to Clark! I'm not treading on those toes
anymore!
