Takashi & others:

Here is another URL. This one to the Weiner Music Catalogue, same basic info
that was given at Van Doren web catalogue. However, with regard to the
two-tone series ... Weiner's catalogue states "hard rubber WITH RESIN".

SO, maybe some Van Doren mpc.'s are PART PLASTIC after all.

Of course, I don't understand the two-tone's design spec/use etc. and
question whether it really "works". Hmmm ... a split personality ?

"Takashi:

Please go to folowing URL for information on the material used in Van Doren
Bb Clarinet mouthpieces (all of them):

http://www.vandoren.com/Product/vanMID.htm

The Table Listing there for Bb Clarinets shows the materials to be Black
Ebonite and Black & Red Ebonite (the latter in the case of the new 2-tone
mouthpieces)."

Takashi replied:

"Thank you for the information. I visited the site, and learned
the Vandoren mouthpieces are made of ebonite.(hard rubber)

To Mr. Roger Garret and the list members:

Sorry for posting a wrong information."
