The feedback I got from the former owner's daughter was that her Mom was an
accomplished clarinetist. Apparently her Mom was very particular and
insisted upon the best in everything. Sometime during 1955 her Mom bought
the mouthpiece together with a a Selmer CenterTone clarinet. ( at/or about
the time that the Buffet poly-cylindrical bore was making its DEBUT, no
less)

The mouthpiece came with a selmer ligature and cap. If the original selmer
mpc was "tossed", this could be the upgrade. on the other hand, if the
selmer mpc was dropped on its head with a big chip in tip or rail(s), this
could be a student/lower quality mpc she bought at the local music store.
