The best thing to do is to hear it live; a jewish wedding with a klezmer
band is best. Failing that one good CD to try is "Live in the Fiddler's
House" (Angel 7243 5 56209 27 ) with the groups Brave Old World, Andy
Statman, The Klezmatics, The Klezmer Conservatory Band and Itzhak
Perlman. A good intro to klezmer music. In fact I saw them all when they
toured together a few years ago, it was kind of like going to five
weddings in one night, only a little less dancing....
