Perhaps the excessive humor, in this case, is a commentary
by the people of this list on the concept of a moderator.

At times things may go on to long, or not be totally Clarinet
related. But, I have seen how this list moderates itself. A few
of us may complain when it happens and the others usually listen.
Occasionally we have to resort to capitol letters, but that is very
rare.

I have seen many people apologize when it has been brought to
their attention that they have offended someone; even when
no offense was intended.

I sense that many people have made friendships on this list. Friends
don't always talk business. Sometimes, they just enjoy a good laugh.
Many times humor is used to break tension and is very helpful.

Of course the primary discussion should be about the Clarinet. And there
are times when people don't respond to pertinent questions. I have learned
not to take it personally.
