I've heard this recording of Brahms' voice it was remarkable. Old and
scratchy just like one would imagine his voice would sound. It was on a
record of a collection of some the first recordings. I believe it included a
performance by the violinist Joachim. As far as what Brahms says I think it
went something like this:
"Hello.......Doctor Edison?......this is Doctor Brahms, JOHANNES BRAHMS"
