Although he is not currently using cocobolo wood, I have an old Opperman
cocobolo barrel that I adored for years. The wood has an unusual grain, I've
been told, that makes it difficult to cut. Mine has been bored slightly too
large and is out of pitch, so I don't play on it anymore, but it sure did
have a gorgeous sound. (and smelled interesting too.)
