There is a list on the web called Flutenet that was specifically set-up
because the Flute list was too stiff. Yes, they discuss flutes, but
anything else is acceptable except nastiness. They have been on-line for
about three years now and have * NEVER * had a flame. Never, never, never.
While the Klarinet list is not as stiff as the Flute list, it would be very
nice to follow their protocol. It's a very congenial place, with
connections to the elite of the flute world. They even get together and do
some gigs, some of them in very high places and anyone on the list is
invited to participate, even beginners (and the beginners do!). They have
received excellent reviews.
