I would suggest getting out the phone book and make a list of all the ban=

instrument stores in the area. Don't forget some of the outlying
communities and suburbs. Then start visiting them and ask about groups i=

the area. Many times one or more members of the staff will be in a local=
band. Even if they aren't, they are the ones who get the players coming =
in
for that last minute emergency just before the concert so they often have=
information about the band.
