For what its worth, I have an interesting idea on this topic. It actually
relates to singing to. Try standing up and take a deep breath, then while
pushing the air out, imagine that air is actually rushing into you while you
are pushing. It sounds weird, but its actually worth giving a try. I found
the technique in a singing book by an oriental man (who's name I dont
remember) and when I tried this technique in the choir I sing in it worked. I
use it in my clarinet playing to and it works like a charm.
I'm not really positive but I would think that it is helping your support by
keeping your diaphram low and extended. Anyways, its worth a try!
