Perhaps your assertion reflects one of the reasons proffered me, although I
had tentatively rejected it - that is, Buffet produces different pitches for
different regional markets. This doesn't make much sense to me, but......

Anyone else?

Michael

Dear Michael,

You said it doesn't make sence that Buffet make different pitched instrument
for different market it is not Buffet decision but the Market decision for
example we are making a RC model pitched at 444 for germany. In France they
play at 442 in the states even if I think the orchestra are going higher now
it is still 440 it is why we have the R13,r13prestige,Vintage, RC model US
,RC prestige model US pitched at 440 the Elite and DG model are pitched at
442 because it is more a european instrument. The Elit comes with two barrels
to be abble to play at 440 if you wish.
I hope this help.
