I'm pretty much done on the subject of marching bands. (applause is
recognized). I've pretty much stated my opinion....it is based on:

direct public school experience
judging experience
supervising student teachers
working with others in the public schools
attending competitions and shows
keeping up with public school curricula and administrative positions
evaluating both university and public school curricula
recommender for public school positions

It is not based on:

hearsay
opinion based on emotive and past experiences
my wife's opinion (she is also a public school teacher)

For those who don't agree - more power to you. It takes passion,
confidence, and caring to run a band program. For those who do agree,
same info. For those who are undecided - my advice is to decide one way
or the other - splitting the fence on this one. You are only as
successful as your ability to convince others of your position.

No more from me! YAY!
