Perhaps not. Nonetheless, without this exposure they may not know it
even existed.
As far as Music Education goes - I have always believed that the purpose
of music education is to create consumers of good music. I've come full
circle. It's exposure that opens that crack. If a MB performance
prompted even some of the students to get a tape of the "real thing" or a
parent to hum (Sgt Pepper has its positive musical aspects, too) I've put
the wheels in motion. I 'm well aware that there are better situations
for exposure but many drink not from that fountain.
