I can hum Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band too, doesn't mean I
understand it. The saddest thing is that they have no idea the form,
function, tonality, voicing, etc. of the work. All they can do is hum a
melody? This isn't music education - this is rote learning of best top 10
tunes.

Sorry - let's join the world of Music Education.

BTW....not all the parents can do that - nor the fans - just the ones who
went to the competitions. Tell me.....do they know when Orff lived? What
other pieces he wrote? What form the original work had??
