Hi Rod,

I don't know about most of the chamber pieces Mark pulled out of Sneezy but I
can tell you that:

1. Richard Stoltzman recorded the "Three Elegies" for Vanguard. (LP: VSD
71269)

2. Diane Lang Bryan recorded "Windows for Clarinet and Guitar" for Protone (LP:
PR 157) (BTW, IMHO this entire record is outstanding. Among other pieces, it
includes a first-rate [again IMHO] performance of the Hindemith Sonata and,
AFAIK, the only recording of the Charlton "Caprice for Clarinet and Guitar," a
piece that could easily be mistaken for variations on Mancini's "Theme Music"
for the movie "Charade." )

3. David Shifrin (and other members of Chamber Music Northwest) recorded the
"Quartet for Clarinet, Violin, Cello, and Piano" for Vanguard. (LP: VSD 71278,
rereleased on CD as VC 4066)

4. The Viklarbo Chamber Ensemble (Jeff Elmassian, clarinet) also recorded the
"Quartet." for Bay Cities. (CD: BCD 1023, also released on Raptoria Caam CD:
RACA 1005.)

5. (I don't remember if this was in Mark's list or not. It is probably pretty
new and may not have been published.) The Indiana Trio has recorded "Dances for
3 for Clarinet Trio" for Crystal (CD: CRYS 734).

AFIK, neither the "Elegies" nor "Windows" has been released on CD so your best
(only?) hope is used record bins. The other three are still in the Spring, 1999
Schwann (I haven't opened my Summer issue yet). Hope this is useful.

Best regards,
Jack Kissinger
