Absolutely the main point. The MB camp in the summer is unecessary -
always has been. The only reason it exists is to allow the teacher to
prepare a show for competition. A good marching show, fit for football
crowd entertainment, takes one week to put together. A 2-hour per day, 4
day mini-camp the week before school - for whoever can show - is all that
is needed to teach marching fundamentals.
