Thanks for the information, Roger!! If you, or anyone else on the list
hears of any way of getting hold of some of those recordings, I'm certainly
interested! They also did a series of composer features and I had most of
them! Over the years, some got borrowed!!!!!! That, of course, means I'll
never see them again! In particular, I'm missing one on Nelhybel, one or
two on Fischer Tull, one on Norman Dello Joio, one on Martin Mailman, and
one on Vincent Persichetti. I'd love to find out how to get hold of those!

I'm not sure, but I think they also had a series called the "Educational
Record Reference Library", which had many notable band works, etc.

Anyway, thanks for the response.

Crest became non-existant several years back. They have been for sale for
a long time - but the price is too high I hear. Their basement contains
some very, very historical recordings, including the tapes used to
produce "The Revelli Years" recordings. I know this because the person
who was trying to purchase Crest Records (and failed) contacted me for my
collection to produce CD's of Revelli's concerts. Unfortunately, we
couldn't work out an agreement.
