my friend who plays the trumpet and I want to play a jazz duet... does anyone
know of any jazz piece featuring trumpet and flute?

----------------------------------

There is a book titled "Reading Jazz" by J Rizzo published by Warner Music
that is great for Duos. It is written in duet form, and comes with a
play-along CD with a Jazz Combo backing up the soloists. 30 pieces (written
by author) of Blues, Jazz etc. - great book. You would need to get a Bb,
and a C version to play the duets together ($20 each), but they are really
fun. I use them for all of my Jazz students (and even classical, as it is
v. good for their rhythm), and they do great with them.
