I loved marching band. There is nothing wrong with marching band. No one
here is bashing marching band as such. It is the administration of such
activities in SOME NOT ALL areas and schools. If you have read other
postings here and on the bulletin board, you will find that some of the
marching bands are putting in more training hours than the sports teams.
None of the other elective and extra curricular activities (chorus, drama,
debate, etc) require the excessive involvement that SOME NOT ALL marching
band programs require.
