I agree in principle, however if the first four are in gear, a different
barrel can make a big difference.

I just purchased a new Buffet Moennig barrel. I tried about 15, found one
that really helped focus my tone. Also, it helps intonation in throat
register and high notes, especially high B and C.

Worth looking into if you've done all the other stuff first.
