Benjamin -

My advice would be to stick with it and make the best of it. There are
lots of good reasons to be in MB - perhaps the best in your case would be
to learn how to do things differently than your band director.

Our experiences are not that far removed - but when I went to U. Michigan
and was in THAT marching band.........let me tell you, getting through the
bad stuff in HS made the later experience worthwhile.
