I realized after replying to your message that the Florida reference was in
the message to which you were responding. It was early on Sunday morning,
and I hadn't had my coffee yet. Oh well...

I would like to mention that we have several full-service music stores in
Orlando that provide excellent prices and personal service. They support
public school music programs and our adult concert band with donations and
in-kind contributions. One dealer provides *free* emergency repair service
at district festival competitions. While the larger stores sell drums,
guitars, and synthesizers, they also have staff who understand the needs of
wind instrument players. We actually have one small business that
specializes in woodwind instrument sales, service, and accessories. They
carry R-13s and have a wide selection of mouthpieces available to try out.
They seem to be flourishing despite the influx of major competitors.
