The guy sounds like a jerk who lacks basic common
courtesy, but you may be generalizing too much about
Joe Customer. Most people I know (including myself)
don't nickel & dime like your example above. I almost
always get mouthpieces locally just for the
tryout/convenience factor, even if I spend a little
more. I know plenty of people who live in houses more
than $250,000, who are in serious debt and cannot
afford any extras. Being cheap is one thing, but
buying smart doesn't make one a dirtbag.
