Hi,

Excellent point, Richard & Patti, both!! Aside from the parents who can't
afford to pay the retail price for a top line instrument, there are those
who do not value music and, even though they could afford to spend the
money, it's not that important to them!

Aside from that, the way many people get rich is by economizing! Of course,
many of them don't want to economize on their image!!

Unfortunately, there seem to be very few people around these days who value
idealism! Very few value anything BUT the almighty dollar! I see so many
these days that have respect for nothing, ( including their lives, the lives
of others, their own possessions, other people's possessions, achievement,
any kind of authority.....and the list goes on.......), but they all value
money!!!!!!!!! To these people, everything, including money, is
disposable.....but they want enough money so they can dispose of it time
after time after time!!!!!!

Anyway, you both made excellent observations about a large segment of
society!

Richard, you make a VERY good point re: affluence (I detest Sport Utility
Vehicles!) I personally decided to drop out of the rat race years ago - I
am rather fond of my Volkwagen Fox and our old Ford Taurus station wagon -
and I look forward to teaching my children about the things that really
matter - faith, hope, love, and music. Idealistic, yes. But it is the
right way for me.
