I am curious how much of the $1500 is in custom duties. Protecting the
local professional clarinet building industry perhaps?

Some place in the world insturments must be cheaper than in the USA or we
wouldn't have gray market instruments like we heard about last year.

Well, today a music store give me the list price, I'm from Argentina, and
here 1 peso equal 1 dolar, the list price is...1500$!!!, MY GOD!!!

Gosh Gustavo, for $1500, I could hand deliver the Clarinet to you!!! ;)
Maybe your store would be better off selling guitars and harmonicas. $1500
is almost the cost of an R-13 in the United States (from a reliable mail
order house).
You said list $1500, is that the actual selling price too? How much are
the
reeds? ($40 a box??)
